You can ensure no local senior goes hungry this winter by helping Meals on Wheels and More provide emergency meals to more than 400 vulnerable older adults throughout Whatcom County. Every $20 donation will provide a 3-day supply of shelf-stable emergency meals for one homebound senior. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic the demand for Meals on Wheels by local seniors dramatically increased and remains high. The program is on track to deliver approximately 45% more meals in Whatcom County this year than in 2019!

Emergency Meal donations can be mailed to Meals on Wheels and More at 315 Halleck Street, Bellingham, WA, or made online at https://whatcomcoa.org/donate.This fundraiser replaces Meals on Wheels and More’s annual Share the Love “Stuff the Trunk” event held at Whatcom County Haggen Stores in partnership with Dewey Griffin Subaru.

The Meals on Wheels emergency meal fundraiser is part of Subaru’s national Share the Love Event. Between November 19th, 2020, and January 4th, 2021, Subaru of America will donate $250 for every new vehicle sold or leased to the customer’s choice of participating charities including Meals on Wheels America and Meals on Wheels and More.

Meals on Wheels and More delivers nutritious meals to homebound adults age 60 and over and provides senior meals for pick-up weekly throughout Whatcom County. Meals are provided on an anonymous donation only basis. Meals on Wheels and More is a program of the Whatcom Council on Aging, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
